Whats the timing belt change interval KMmileage fo a 4JB1-T?

Thanks - bringing one in from Japan with 120k, timing belt sticker at 60k - every 60k seems kind of soon. Please specific km or miles. Thanks. Bill

60000 miles is fair. We work on 100000km but 6 years is the time interval. Where you are a dropped cam belt would be catastrophic because of parts availability

Ive just been involved with a Ford Festiva which I had to replace the headlight plugs on. Noticed fan belts were bad. One of them snapped when we took it off. Asked when the timing belt was done. He answered its a chain not a belt and doesnt need doing. I showed him proof its a belt and we arranged a real mechanic to change it. He had owned the car 6 years and done 250000km. The only sticker for a belt was at 120k and the car had 360k.
