seat heater

Post by andy120 »

my 96 wizard has heated seats but they are not working very well. does anyone know how to get the front seats a part to replace the bottom and back pads?

If they are working at all its unlikely to be the seats. Measure the resistance at the plug and if you can how much current they are drawing. I had heated seats in my old bighorn. The only time I ever turned them on was accidental. Personally I hate the things

The cushion only heats a small patch, take forever to warm and the backs dont work at all. I used resistance to determine which wire was high and low. the switch is missing its guts. i now live at the bottom of the south island, a little luxury.

I dont remember if my wizard had them but if the switch is faulty then an aftermarket switch would test them properly and get you through the cold snap. I think the heater is only in the seat bottom. Its not a 7 series bmw
