My old ubs55 had a nice steel sump guard that ran to the suspension crossmember. The ubs69 I have now came with only the curved front section. I did try and fit the spare ubs55 one I had but it was never a good fit so I need to redo it. First thought "lets go to the wreckers and get one designed for the job" 2 wreckers with Bighorns both had flimsy 2mm alloy guards that could only keep photographers happy but offer no real protection.
Before I take to the 2 sections I have with the grinder drill and welder what have others done?

Re: sump guard ubs69
In the end this was quite easy. hardest part was de-denting the old guard so it cleared the sump. That was 10 minutes with a 5 pound hammer. Then wedged it in place at the front and bolted in at the back. My front section had 4 holes. The front section had 4 holes. The front holes almost matched the threaded holes in the rear section but as the rear section was wedged against the roll bar when in place this wasnt an option. Marked the back holes onto the rear section and where it hit the roll bar. Took it apart drilled the holes to 10mm and cut the front off the rear section. Bolted the 2 sections together and to the crossmember. Job done.
There were a few other little things on the way like having to buy some new ear muffs and then the grinding sparks on bare arms and legs, and a large quantity of mud and sand falling in my face but nothing serious

MOABp = Mother Of All Bash plates
For Wizard but yours should be similar.
Made from 5mm steel griptread. It covers front axel gearbox and transfer.
And bolts on with 6 bolts

There are many angles, down at the front and the rear crossmember isnt flat.
So had to tack while under the truck.
I also cut holes for fluid changes.

Oops actually stops at the cross member so doesnt cover the transfer .
Theres a little factory thing that bolts on the other side that does that.
