ITEM: 1996 Frontera Sport / Isuzu MU


CONDITION: Good overall condition, no major damage


REASON FOR SELLING: Bought an MU Wizard a couple of months ago and it just sits in the yard doing nothing.


PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $4,000 negotiable


EXTRA INFO: Not you average Frontera, the gutless and thirsty 2 litre Opel motor has been thrown out and replaced with a 4JB1, 5 speed manual, full wiring, dash etc from a '95 Rodeo. Fully legal modification as they came out with this combination in Europe. Engine number etc has been updated with Qld Transport.
This is a great little 4wd due to the diff ratios being 5.3 : 1, has a modified GU Patrol ARB bull bar, MU snorkel, towbar, UHF and JVC double din stereo in custom dash mount.

Hi i will give you 4 grand for the front and rear diff heads sent to nz if they are 5.3:1

What revs is the engine doing in 5th at 100kph?
Are those diffs 4.3 or 5.3
Like rob Im unaware of 5.3 diffs
Still its a nice truck

Hi Geeves, it's doing just under 3,000rpm at 100kph .... now I'm confused maybe I meant 5.3

sounds like 4.5 which would of been correct for the small petrol

From what I can find out online the 2 litre petrol had either a 4.88 or 5.13 diff fitted, the Rodeo that the engine came out of had 4.55 and this is revving a lot higher than that was at 100kmh.

I found the same info about the diffs as well 4.88 or 5.3 ratio with 2 lt engine on a few web sites so could be a 5.3 ratio diffs.
