Not exactly true but enough traps to make it seem that way. Pipe must exit behind the rear most door which in the case of the Mu is the tailgate. You can get round this by having the pipe come out at least 2 inches but that can be seen as an external projection able to hurt people. At the very least it will be a $400 trip to a certifier. Better to keep it at the back although it would of looked cool.

Yeah i didn't think about that. I'll have a talk to the warrant guy and a cert guy to find out the requirements to get it to pass a cert

I did read on offroad express that the tailgate of a short wheelbase is only counted as a door in that regard if it is functional to a passenger from the inside. That plus the fact that the rear windows do not open would lead you to believe that as long as it dumps outwards and towards the back it would not matter. Not trying to argue with anyone, just these wof regulations do leave alot down to the inspectors opinion on it.. maybe ill just build some large-ish rock sliders so the two inches can't be classed as a protruding objects lol

So i have been emailing ironman about some bullbars and they emailed me some photos of a test fit bullbar to a 1994 Bighorn. The bar looks to be a bit narrower than the bighorn so if it fits a Mu would be better, so I am wondering, are the mounts for bullbars on the chassis of a 1994 Bighorn the same as my Mu?

Another question i have is where are all the body mounts located in a Mu, for the purpose of body lift? Cheers, Jordan

body lift is definatly a trip to the certifier Mounts are all easy to see and most are easy to get at
Mu and pre 92 bighorn are same Think the 94 chassis is a little wider. Hilux bar fits with minimum fuss

Ah cheers Geeves, yeah have a couple of things lined up for a certifier later this year. I checked the pictures and emails again and i think he said its a rodeo bar being narrower?

is that picture a winch cradle you already have or the one ironman were advertising? The mounting looks the same as my wizard but on its own that falls foul of frontal impact rules because of the sharp uprights. If this is yours get the welder to make your bullbar
