I got a new one from the local Holden/Isuzu dealer. It was for a slightly later model but I got it to fit and work.
Sorry I cant remember the exact price but I can remember that it wasn't excessive.

I rang suttons holden late this arvo quoted me $175.00 if it is the right part looks like im of to the wreckers for one.

When you go to the wreckers and get one out have a good look at it. If it is the older style they have a series of small coils/resistors (a bit like a big version of the filament in a light bulb), make sure that these are all intact. I think that there are three or four that are used in various combinations (or in series, can't remember) to control your fan speed.
The newer style are done with a series of resistors. The reply above by Pig75 shows the information required to test this type.

If you can find a non air con rodeo the resistor should have had less use than a air con version

Back to square one just blown the resistior again for the fan this is the second one from wreckers both of them were good got me stumped now i only got number 4 working again flat out just as well glove box is easy to remove.

The fan motor might be on it's way out. drawing too much current

Hi pig i have just been googling and found out that water gets into the fan motor from under window screen and seizes the motor bearing and puts to much load on the resistor and blows it in rodeos i will have a look today and get back to let you all know if the mu has the same problem.

Yep has had water in there before gave a good spray of wd40 and blew it out with air compresser see how it goe's with anothor resistor when i get one.
