'88 4jb1t injectors, serial

Post by alandis »

greetings,

I have a an 88 bighorn with a turbo 4jb1 in it. First question is, below the serial number on the block it just says 4jb1 (no T). Does this mean that i have a non turbo engine that someone put a turbo into?

I only became curious because when looking through a zexel part number list for injectors, the injectors i have are listed for a non turbo 4jb1... I need to buy nozzles, but not sure what to get now. Any help appreciated!

link to the part number list below... Injectors i have are stamped with 48-2030C. Looks to be a 2 stage injector... seems to be a lot of different injectors out there for different setups/years and its got me a bit stumped!

I would go with a matching part number. In 88 they changed from a gear drive to belt drive. Does your engine have a plastic or alloy timing cover?
