anyone know how to reduce the idle speed on a electronic pump 4jg2 97 wizard ?
currently around 1000 rpm and Id like 750
Kind regards
97 wizard 4JG2 electronic pump idle speed adjust?
Re: 97 wizard 4JG2 electronic pump idle speed adjust?
Hi I wanted to do the same when i got my 4jg2 1995 bighorn 11 years ago, never found a way, it would need to be electronic cleverness to be able to achieve this, there is no mechanical adjustment, hope that helps

Electronic pump adjust the fuel quantity by electronic governor inside the pump where its driven by ecu. If there is someone know how to tell that ecu to adjust, i think only thats the way.

So things that increase idle speed; engine temp & load sensing.
So perhaps the engine temp sensor is out of span and ecu thinks engine is colder than it actually is.
Loads ;
Lights on, steering driven, heater & ac on.
So maybe manipulate engine temp sensor. This seems possible as no change in my idle speed from cold to hot.
Very slight change like 50 rpm when heater fan turned on.
Steering & lights no change.
The other thing is perhaps the rev counter is reading 200 rpm high.
Softer changes from n into d would be nice.
