4JB1T Compound turbo setup

Post by paulthepilot5 »

Hi Guys.

Just about completed my compound setup on the Rodeo. Will soon be upgrading pump to a 12mm to make the most of the setup.

What turbo is your high pressure turbo? The low pressure looks to be a gt2554, how much hp you going for?

Low pressure is GT2871r high pressure is a TD04. Hp aim is as high as possible. Was just shy of 200hp on the last setup with single turbo. Would have gotten more out of the single, but was working a single turbo way too hard.

Cant wait to hear how it does. I opted for the Borg Warner efr7163 for the low pressure, but i wanted a clean 18:1 afr. High pressure is bit of a hybrid lol. Those td04’s are good turbos, should be a solid setup!

Yeah the TD04’s are good, had the last one running 35psi every day. At this stage the compound setup is running ok. Builds up about 47psi boost at the moment. Re doing some of the pipe work at the moment to improve flow flow from the high pressure wastegate. With the added fuel from a 12mm should be a pretty angry setup. Have a three different trim td04’s to try on it as well

Got some of the pre compound setup, when it was running 14.8 sec

Don’t think I will get it any quicker times until I can get more fuel into it.
