Isuzu Mu headlight wiring doagram,

Post by ecw23able »

Hey guys, I have a 93 mu with the 4JG2, I am in the process of installing an alternating headlamp flasher to accompany some dash lights fitted to the front and rear windows, this will accompany a siren and train airborne, I am having trouble working out the wiring,

Is the mu negative switched,

I tested the 3 wires to the bulb with a fluke multimeter and couldn't find a constant supply until the switch is on, the idea is to tap off the high beam of each headlamp and connect it to a negative switching headlamp flasher unit,

Does anybody have the wiring diagram for the headlights and would it be in the repair manual, of so where can I get a copy on PDF format,

any help will be appreciated

If it's like the 97 6VD1 Rodeo (Wizard / Frontera) in the States, it's ground switched with bulb common running to the headlight relay output to battery positive.
Which is apparently opposite of the spec for those bulbs, but that can be resolved by using two relays to reverse the polarity which also reduces the current going through the combo switch.

EDIT: I was referring to the polarity for 9003 which is common negative.
