Just got my 98 MU and noticed that there are roll bars above the rear seats.
Does this mean I can remove the black plastic roof? If so, where can I find some instructions on how to do so? I guess the rear window comes out too?
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!

98 is that coil spring rear and either a 3l diesel or 3.2 v6?
If its that model they did come as a convertable so it should be possible to unbolt the roof without too much drama. 2 things though. A lot of cars that had a convertable option also had extra body strengthening to compensate. As the roof is fibreglass this shouldnt be an issue but I dont no the law on this. It could easily be a cert required mod
If its the earlier Mu the roof is steel and permanantly attached An angle grinder will remove it but dont expect to get a wof afterwards
