Hi all been on here a while now and thought I better put something up.

My name is Ray Im in Whangarei NZ Im in the insurance industry.
I have had quite a few trucks now 2x pajero's, 3x Safari's, Land Rover S2a, and now the Bighorn.

Its a 1995 Irmisher R all the factory extra's and SWB.

Suspension: LWB springs in the back and wound up the front
Tyres/Wheels: 32x11.5x15 Nankang Mudstars with 15x8.5 alloy wheels off road. 31x10.5x15 Worn M/Ts for the road
Traction Aids: LSD in the rear
Bullbar: Factory
Spot lights and Lighting: standard at the moment
Communications/GPS: Mounted FM PRS and Mounted AM C/B (uniden mini)
Engine: 3.2 V6 thirsty as but sounds wicked as.
Exhaust: highflow mufflers (centre and rear)
Sound system: JVC MP3 headunit, Sony xplod fronts with Alpine rear speakers, Reactor 600w 4 channel amp with 12inch earthquake comp sub.
External: Custom made snorkel its finished now just needs PVC pipe replaced with steel and my main guard to be cut up and fitted. Rancho 9000 shocks (I just need longer springs now so I dont rub my back tyres when fully flexed)
Internal: standard
Others: Personalised plates I have used on it are BAD4X4 and FORGE1. Exceedy H/D Tuff Clutch,

Hey ray cool truck.. My next will be a shorty bighorn but have to move lots of kids still..Hence the longwheel base.
What is the measurement of the floor area in the back of the shorty.. from the back of the back seat to the door....

Thanks yeah I know the feeling with the kids thats why I sold my SWB Safari when my daughter was a new born. I had LWB Safari's but I always wanted a 2door again. These are way bigger inside than a Safari. I will measure up the floor area after work and let you know. Cheers Ray

Hey Dan,

The measurements of the back are. Seat to back - 800mm, Width - 1350mm, width between the tyre wells - 1020mm.

Got my springs fitted and got 100mm lift so hopfully it settles at around the 70mm mark. wound the front up to match. now just need to work out how to do the ball joint flip for more downward travel

to do the ball joint flip, wind down the torsion bars as it relases some of the pressure on the arms ands makes it easier to get back together. jack up truck , take of wheel, unbolt ball joint ( mind fingers), rebolt ball joint with ball joint underneath arm, put back together. then wind bars back up- remember you dont have to wind them up as far as you have gained the thickness of the ball joint flange.

Sweet cheers for that mate. While I had a break in the rain today I managed to follow the guide and thus I have completed the ball joint flip. I didnt even have to take wind the torsions down. Next step is the bump stops and the wind up a little more again as Im sitting front down and nearly maxing out how high can go.

you will start braking CV joints if you go too high
