Auto trans gear changing issues

Hi there, after installing my snorkel on 1994 secound gen mu I'm having issues with gear changing (auto trans). It will sit at 3500rpm at 100kph and won't change up through gears unless foot is flat to floor. Has anyone come across this? Any help or info would be appreciated. Cheers
