Blank switches

Hi all.
I would like to mount a driving light switch in one of the blanks behind the steering wheel on my 2018 Isuzu mux.
There are two blanks on the l/h side.
One directly behind the wiper stalk
And
One about 6 inches below that.
I believe that you can possibly remove the dash cover (instrument cluster)
Has anyone done This?
If so, how do you get the surround off so I can access the switch bland back?
Pictures would be great if possible
