Isuzu MU Sas.. coilovers

Post by nb422 »

So 2 years ago i blew my 6th cv in 5 trips, got so quick at changing them out that it was like doing a damn oil change... i decided to Solid axle swap the old girl.
At first i was going to go leaf front and got most of tge way there, was rolling and driveable but i decided leaves were not enough for me.
So roll on cutting out that stuff and buying a complete 80 series front diff and some amada coilovers.
With work being flat out i lost interest and it was just sitting around taking up space.
I ended up paying for Lustcustoms to do the swap for the 80 series and put in my coilovers, 3 weeks with him and stoked with the end result.
First trip untest was in through the 42nd traverse, my modified driveshaft was the only let down blowing 2/3 through. Definitely need a double cardan driveshaft.
Unfortunately while sitting my noisy input shaft bearing has completely let go soo gearbox has to come out now too
Heres a few pics.

I cant remember off hand man, really decent price though. Your best bet would be to talk to him through his facebook page Lust Customs. Good guy, has a surf on 44s haha

I think thats only on the front. SOA has always been tricky as they have a tendancy for axle tramp which has to be dealt with

What suspension set up are you running in the rear? I'm looking at doing a SAS on my MU and trying to find what works best and is easily certed. Cheers

Rear far easier than rear, can use leafs and do soa conversion or cut chassis and weld a bighorn coil rear end in, cert people are just worries with the front as your changing steering and suspension, not much come back if it goes wrong in the front, talk to a cert guy near you or go see Tom's offroad
