Model and Engine doubts

Hello Isuzu fans, I just found that nice forum

I'm living in Switzerland and on my way to buy an Opel Campo 31TD 4x4 from 1996.
While searching online I discover that's originally an Isuzu model sold her in Switzerland by GM Opel, with that name OPEL CAMPO...but I can't find if it's a Isuzu Trooper, or Faster or any other Isuzu model.
At Opel they are'nt able to tell me anything " too old" they say
The chassis N° on the swiss document is JA ATF S69 HT9 100 527, maybe someone of you can extract some informations from these numbers???
I would like to know if the engine is a 4JG2 or a 4JG2T and what's the difference in between these two? And hopefully to find a service manual for the engine...
That's in case I've to change the timing belt if there's one because the vendor doesn't know if the engine has timing belt or chain or gear and there is no car maintenance log with the papers.
And at Opel they're just not interested doing some resarch...

Well, thanks in advance for any information.

Best regards

Guy

Ps: english is'nt my mother tongue, sorry if it hurts someone eyes ;)

It will be a 4jg2T engine The non T engine was never used in cars as far as I know
It might have electronic control though.
On the firewall there is a blackplate with a lot of info on the car
It will have a chassis number starting either UBS69 or UCS69 which will tell us heaps
A photo of the car and this plate and we should be able to work out most things

Hi Geeves
Thanks for the quick answer.
As I wrote it's a swiss registered car ( Opel) and maybe chassis N° here can be slightly different but there is a S69 in the N°.
The car is a bit far away from my home and I will go there next week to take photos. Then post them.
Best regards.
Guy

Is it fully badge engineered or is it built by Opel?
I know the earlier ones used a non isuzu engine

From a Google search it looks like the Opel Campo is a Rodeo dual cab
