4JX1 Wont Start.....

Having just searched the site and have discovered this seems to be a common problem....
So I have just replaced the Starter motor and ORPS, ORPS due to the fact that it was hard to start and I did the test were you disconnect the white wire in the loom from the head.. this has correctly diagnosed the fault and fitted it. When I was doing this the plug on what I presume is an oil temp sensor on the Oil rail broke, So I sort of fixed that ( read rough job)
Then the starter burnt out, and I have replaced with a spare one off an old 4JG2 I had laying about.
So I was driving down the road and heard a noise like a bang and hiss like the tyre on my trailer had just got a puncture( was towing one at the time), Stopped and checked and did not see anything, as I was mainly looking at the tyres.
About 10km later the truck just stopped.... Check Engine light and Check Trans lights both Flashing....
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I am guessing that I am going to have to take it to get the auto sparky to run a Tech 2 scanner on it. I need to get it going sooner rather than later so any help would be appreciated.
