Replacing electric window mechanism

Post by ahoppy »

Hi all, can anyone help me find a new mechanism or the parts required for the drivers side door electric window mechanism as mine has completely fallen apart.
I have a '91 MU 2.8Lt TD. I have put a rodeo manual mechanism in so I can wind the window up and down for the time being.
Any help would be grateful if you know of another car that uses the same mechanism or the part thats attached to the window glass and slides up and down on the
guide I still have the original motor and wiring and slide rail from the broken one as per the pics.

Any help on getting these parts or of another vehicle that uses the same parts even if only the glass holder part as this is the important part and the part that is broken.

regards ahoppy

I know the switches from later TF rodeos (1998) fit the MU, I would assume the mechanicals do too. Otherwise the UBS Jackaroo (rectangular headlights) may also fit as it shares a lot with the MU. Liquid nails also works :-)

howd you go with this matey?
I just splapped some Rego on the MU today & when I got home & closed the Drivers door
the window fell down.
It appears to have damamge to the plastic holder on the cenre rail.
the motor/cables still move up & down ok.
Heard that late model TF rodeos came with electric window & Jackaroo's may share the same centre rail design......

I put Frontera ones in the back windows after a bit of modification I think like geeves said rodeo ones would fit better in the front.
