Thanks for the info mate, might look into this seat cover idea a bit more...

In terms of transfer case mounting , I have wondered about it and it would theoretically be possible but the brackets would be using the holes at the transfer case mountin cast. As this is just cast alloy it isn't as strong at the diff housing. Part of me wants to move it there as it becomes far higher and there's no chance of getting caught on it...
Also my handbrake cable wouldn't reach and I'd have to run a custom short cable through the floor directly below the lever..

I'm sure the GQ SWB came with drum hand brake on the drive shaft - although I don't know a heap about them, maybe you could modify one to fit the Isuzu Transfer?

Yea it did, I started down that path. Except the patrol runs a drum handbrake and the whole housing for it bolts into a designed , threaded section on the transfer case outlet. There is no capacity for it on a Mu box....

Rebuilt the caliper mount so it will be fixed and fitted a return spring.

still trialling the prototype for the window frame/net brackets. made up some solid samples out of thick heavy duty acrylic which i may even use rather than steel due to its many more favorable properties..

it has been suggested to me to modify the rear frame and cover the entire window with vents across it rather than just a section so ill dummy up a template for this too and compare..
bought a kit of nutserts so fit the frames to the mu so this will allow a flush threaded rivet that the windows will bolt to when fitted. allows for quick removal and tidy finish with and without the frames on.

not sure what i think of the chrome door handles hahaha. Everything else is black and white!
I like the windows and think you should make the nets on the angle like in the second picture with either a black or white net. or combo!

Thanks for your thoughts, the handles are factory, lol. I see your point though. They are a hard thing to paint as the are such a used, wear item.
The nets will be black once fitted, I'll dye them, was only colour they had :(

Hey, good find!!! Ill def look into this but its a fair amount of work to get the door cards off now so I might put it off till later.lol.
They certainly are cheap, not worth trying to paint them at that cost.
