Few pictures of the drawers that have gone into the back of the MU now. Hopefully take the back seat out soon and set up some storage in that space aswel.

Took out the centre console and installed a Waeco cooler. Much better arm height for cruising.
Drop the might mu into the injector pump shop today. So expecting my wallet to take a hit

Yeah mate. Just need to get carpet for the wing on the right side.
The centre console cooler is 8L i think. It was more the convenient size for an arm rest and the cooler a bonus.

Sorry for the shocking photos (they were taken at night with a phone camera). I will try and take some nicer ones soon.
Here is what has taken me wayyyyy to long to build. A set of rock sliders that will double as my air tank. All the welds are air tight and im going to plumb my compressor into them so i wil be able to rebead tyres and maybe a few smaller air tools.
They are made out of 150 x 50 RHS and braced back onto the chasis with 75 x 50. I made the brackets to go around the chasis out of 6mm plate steel and stuck them all together.
Testing them on the weekend on a couple knarly tracks at my local playspot and they took a couple big knocks! h
In the process of testing them however i put another character building dint in my rear quarter panel. So it looks like it going to get a chop and some sort of rear bar made up.

I really like this build, the way you have done sensible mods in a clean thought out way...
I'm gunna nick ya roof tray idea

I've always wanted a tray, but not keen on a bulky one. That flat mesh style looks perfect

I like the second battery install, I am doing almost that exactly under the bonnet of my Rodeo,
Can I ask where you put the fuel filter and primer?

Thanks guys, love hearing your feedback on the MU.
I couldnt find a roof rack that i liked so decided to build my own rev head - i built the roof rack and a pipe bender for less then the cost of a commercial one. So win win.
I wish the truck stayed this clean! its hard to keep everything looking good when you sink it in mud.
As for the fuel primer / filter. On the previous page you can she the battery and compressor setup. On the firewall you can see where i have mounted the primer/filter. Just bent a bracket up and mounted it.
I have just started my university holidays today and have a few projects on the go for these holiday!.
- Painting the rear (around window) and roof black.
- Fix Sunroof drains.
- Put a central locking motor in the rear door
- Install a voltage monitor for the second battery.
- Fit another 24" light bar to the roof racks and re wire the lights
- Start thinking about a long range tank / water tank. Anyone got any ideas?
That should keep me busy for a week or so! haha
