adding distance to the speedo? isn't it the other way around because its larger wheels. my speedo reads 90kph with 33 inch wheels but im actually doing about 100kph and about 42kph is 50kph. So wouldn't that mean per real kilometre the speedo only clocked up 900 meters etc. or do I have the wrong end of the stick here lol

All depends on engine setups etc and driving styles, best i think my 4jb1t does is 300 to 400km to a tank and thats 75 litres, diesel still cheaper than 1 litre of water at the servo

Driven nicely I have driven from Wellington to Rotorua then back to Hunterville on a tankful. This was in the 89 LWB Bighorn with 4 in the car 31 inch tyres and weather that dictated a careful drive. Thats a shade over 800km and the refill was 72 litres. I could of got to Bulls maybe even Levin. Play in soft sand for a day though and 200km is optimistic.
