Actually CRC is pretty rubbish for properly stuck stuff.

SamMu93 the picture of the 4JG2 filter housing that you show above looks like it may point the filter towards the front of the vehicle?

Both of the 4jg2 I have seen had the filter angled towards the rear, where-as that one is angled to the front.

Yeah that was one of the image results when you google "4jg2 oil filter housing". It would point forward aswell so not ideal.
I have had some luck with trademe today and managed to get one for $30 so no big loss if it doesnt work out.
This should arrive this week all going well Ill get it installed and fill it back up with oil.

Also the spray I tried to use and free the turbo studs with was chemz penetrate which helped me snap 2 of the studs... Still have 80% of the stud length so ill try to thread the rest of the stud with a tap and die set. Altho Not sure if I will be able to as the studs are hardened steel right? Will give it a shot...

4jg2-t and 98 onwards rodeo oil cooler and housings are the same design, the rodeo one just has a smaller oil filter and thread is differnt for the filter, the dump pipe you got removes the cat for emissions on the 4jh1, i got the full 2 1/2 with 2 1/2 dump pipe for my 01 4jb1-t rodeo

pb blaster is very good. An American test rated it second only to a home brew of 50%atf and 50%acetone. If that stuff doesnt loosen it it isnt meant to loosen but it will also take the skin off your fingers and eat through rubber gloves.

I would heat the housing up with oxycutting...then brake the studs off using two nuts a good pair of spanners and/or a braking bar....If you lack of room there, I would suggest removing the whole exhaust manifold...BUT probably you´ll get the same issues with some of their nuts. Bingo!

Anyways the oxycutting makes this job easy.

That´s the one, but it's pointing the wrong side.....Personally I've never seen a filter housing like this one,but probably the picture is upside down.
