I would be asking the people who done the injectors why they did not supply them with the job I don't know what washers I have in the box that came with my mu when I bought it for the injectors I will have a look tomorrow and see what's there was so many parts in there missy mu's boy friend worked for Isuzu if I recall it was a few years ago now that's how come I got all these parts when I bought my mu in the sale.
The joys of owning a Isuzu always expect the unexpected nothing is as easy as you expect it to be I have learned this lesson over many times.

Shouldve got cda to recon & install the injectors down in sydney, but i was overseas at the time didnt expect theyd finish rebuilding the engine in week.

thanks for having a look steve, I guees il have to wait & see what the outcome is on monday.
Hopefully he hasnt damaged the injector or head by installing without the corect washers?
Are these things forgiving?

Il be heading into darwin on tuesday (*via hire car) to take the Mrs in for a shop.
also Ordered a New starter motor for the isuzu today, because it was smoking a little when they cranked the engine yesterday.

I thought I had some dramas fitting the 2.8 from the 3.1 into the MU by my self not as young as I thought I was getting a old fart now at 56 but it looks like you have more I was surprised when you said you a need a hire car thought you had a MU as well to drive don't tell me both of them are off the road.

MU has been off the road while ive been pre ocupied with another project down south. I wouldnt have thought twice about doing the engine swap if it was petrol, but ive never done diesel before as most my motor twidling has been on 253s & 308s

A little 253 would have gone in there nicely Straight foward motors and best of all no injectors :D

Google 5l into rodeo & you should see a couple of tf rodeo's with injected 5litre 304 holden V8s in them.
In Aus because the last carby motored 308s (304) finished up in "87" & the TF rodeo/MU started in "88"
You have to go with injection or LPG or you wont be able to get it engineered (due to emmisions I think)

Some of the HSVs had harrop stroker cranks in them with all the goodies, Allso you can get the last of the 304s (VT commodore)
very cheap these days & they had roller cams in them.
But most people are into LS1s these days, i would never own one (id have to sell off all me 308 bits)
