How to indetify a turbo vs a none turbo engine

Guys how can you tell the difference between a none turbo an a turbo 4ja1 engine i bought an engine but am suspect the turbo was removed it it was being used as a non turbo...

without opening the engine you could look for the engine designation cast into the block. It will be 4ja1? Put this in google to find out. Beyond that its getting part numbers off pistons etc
