Rear auto locker really effects your road driving usage, a front one wont with hubs not engaged. I have a rear locker and they are hard work on road and wear out everything quicker. Air locker would be much better.

Interestingly now I'm down in Christchurch and have done a couple of local trips. Both were braided rivers with gravel beds. Radio chatter seemed to indicate everyone needing to use there lockers and commenting how soft the river crossings were. I'm just thinking I havnt even turned on the compressor for the locker and I'm having no trouble. A good suspension setup reduces the need for a locker

There is no substitute for locked diffs, they transform any truck, I run front and rear lockers in 3 of my isuzus only down bit to rear locker is it wears out tires faster but who cares

Love the front lokka I have- makes it way more capable and is far less likely to break things when you compair it to the old method of getting a run up for everything. I can now crawl over most things.
If I could do my suspension again I would save all the money I wasted and go directly to extended shackles.
If you are happy with the handling of your mu but want it higher then shackles are the way to go. No dissapointing results.

My understanding of the rules suggests that extended shackles require LVVC.

I love what you've done to your MU! I'm from America, and I'm purchasing a 1991 2.8 turbo diesel from Japan. Diesel Isuzu's weren't commercially sold in the US, so information and parts are limited. Do you have any further info on your drivetrain mods, such as:

Rodeo 3" dump pipe off turbo (and your custom oil filter housing for the dump pipe to fit)
2.5" exhaust
Bighorn intercooler
Electric fan for intercooler
Tweaking fuel pump (1.5turns if I remember correctly)
Boost tap (16psi)

Also, what's an EGT monitor?

In the US, I think the only differential lockers available are ARB. I've never heard of Lokka. Is ARB available in NZ?

Finally, who manufactured your front bumper?

Thanks!
