4jb1t Frontera fly Wheel problem

Post by cinesecj7 »

Hello, sorry for my bad English, but i speak Italian, i swapped my CJ7 Isuzu C240 with a 4JB1T 2.8 (I love this engine)
Now i have engine, fly wheel, and clutch plate pressur 2.8 but gear box and clutch disc of CJ7 stock.
All parts it’s NEW to except fly wheel.
THE PROBLEM: after 2 year of work of offroad race trip and more kilometre, now the clutch slips
Where is the problem? The flywheel it’s burn? I saw the flywheel now and the outer circumference is burnt, the inside part does not touch with the disc

Getting the flywheel skimmed should fix it. My guess was a faulty clutch plate

in a race came a lot of water a lot of mud a lot of sand from that day started the problem, I think that the sand and the actress have changed the face of the flywheel
Thank you Geeves

people say the rear seal is hard to install and well its basically a poor design prone to leaking and not stopping mud/water entering?
