This is a truck and factory size is a lot bigger. What are you trying to achieve?

I'm in Canada and only tires which are dot stamped are accepted, but I can't get 15.5 dot stamped tires . So I need a different solution. Would appreciate any help that I can get. Cheers

There is something amiss here
First are we talking the same truck Im thinking a flat deck or box truck https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Elf but I see a van version exists.
What size wheels and tyres do you have now. Are you sure you cant get them in a Dot rated tyre.
Because its truck based it has much bigger brakes and susspension so going down to a 16 inch rim might not work Typically trucks have 18 to 20 inch rims
A photo of your truck might help

Thank you for the reply ! My truck is the Elf 250 which is smaller than the link above . In North America you can't get half sizes. The truck has 15.5s as it is which is standard for Japan where I imported it from . Tried many tire places , and no one can help. The problem is here , is that in BC Canada ,they will not issue a roadworthy certificate without dot tires. So a slightly smaller or bigger preferably would be nice . Would of sent you a picture , but I'm a bit of a technophobe . Not sure how to

Only place Ive seen 15.5 diameter rims has been American websites however a look though the NPR manual suggests they might be a metric size. Metric tyres exist on some European cars and they are a pain in a place we shouldnt mention. For a modern Jag the correct tyre is $400 each but get a set of mags from an early jag of an imperial size so close you cant tell the difference and the tyres are $80 each To go to a 16 inch rim should be no problem but get the width and offset as close as possible. You could go 17 or 18 but that will limit tyre choices with the load capacity.

Thanks again for the info Geeves!
I would donate $200 to the site if someone could find wheels for me . Only the Japanese specialist here, so called anyway. Hasn't been able to help me in the last 5 months.

Send us a photo of your truck using the upload attachment tab below your reply and we might be able to find something. Im surprised you are having issues as Isuzu trucks are sold in America as are other japanese brands which most likely use the same or close enough to the same wheels

In New Zealand I can go to the new car franchise dealer and buy any new part for any used Japanese import. If they dont have it in stock they get it x Japan. Then we have a thriving aftermarket and alternate parts industry that happily supplies new parts for anything.
