2.8 rodeo blowing headlight fuses

Gday all, I have recently fitted a set of HID narva driving lights which plug straight into the H4 circuit (which they are designed to do so). For a few months there were no issues but the other day i realized one of my headlight fuses was blown. I replaced both fuses and reached in and pulled the high beam switch straight on and both fuses blew instantly. I again replaced the fuses, this time putting low beam on first before hight beam and everything worked. For a week or so high and low beam worked fine. Then yesterday with my lights off (daytime) I flashed a bloke with my high beam and both fuses have blown again.
Anyone have any thoughts what may be the cause? The fuses are 10 amp which is what the cover says they should be.

i have 120/160 watt bulbs in my rodeo, they blew the fuses twice so i fitted 15amp and have been fine since

Thanks rob. I have been reluctant to do this due to the obvious problems that it can cause. Is 15amp ok in the rodeos?
There must be a reason it is blowing fuses though?? I know the driving lights are now plugged into the circuit but they are designed to do this and Narva is a quality brand

im guessing mine was just the extra current draw because of the brighter bulbs

12v times 120 watts equals 10 amps. Standard bulbs can draw up to twice the rated current when first turned on.

So maybe that's why they blow only when I flash the high beam?

Turns out there was 90/130 bulbs in it so I have changed back to 55/60 watt bulbs and problem solved
