i have run 2 1/2 on my trucks with coby hot dogs and with straight pipe i put flanges in to try differnt mufflers, hotdogs just changed the tone wasnt any quieter though, rotary mufflers work well as they are high flow and still give abit of sound

Just made a new downpipe for mine haven't got it going yet but looking forward to seeing the difference. I didn't realise the stock cast pipe is only 49mm just under 2".

When I get round to doing the exhaust on mine I might be giving you a ring for one of them

Hi Geeves no worries I got 2 plates laser cut out to make it worth while. Got them made with 2 ports instead of one as it was easier to merge the 2 pipes than try and shape the pipe into the standard flange.
Truck was noticeably different with the new pipe just keeps pulling. I'm still yet to give it some more fuel as its clean as a whistle out the tail pipe and EGT's are only 500 deg C pre turbine under load. Based off how this goes at the moment compared to my 3.1 MU its definitely go a lot more punch and that thing had 420NM of torque. Will get it back on the dyno once I have some more k's on the engine and see what its got.

Powertruck31T,
Are you using the stock gaskets or did you have something laser cut that isolates the two pipes at the turbo?
I have one of the BrokenMu 3" pipes and am still working out the gasket issue.

Hi Dinger95 I just used the standard outlet gasket. Although it should have a custom one made to seal off the wastegate port I didn't bother I figured the pipe flows so much better than a standard one I couldn't really see much gain to be had by sealing it off completely. You could try using a single layer gasket which will crush up a lot better and almost seal it.

I just used the normal gasket on my 3" dump pipe I've had no problems so far on the mu with the full 3" exhaust system on it.

Thanks guys, if I do anything it might be something like the Grimm Speed down pipes and use the standard and cheap gasket.

Is anyone making these for sale? I am about to reshell my truck and would be interested.

Cheers

I'd be interested in purchasing one of them Powertruck31T if you decided to start producing them
