Yeah I questioned the wrecker who sold me the 3.1 oil filter assembly- he is saying his one points backwards so that will be helpful when it comes time to change the filter.

So the 4jg2 oil filter arrived today and its bloody massive!
Tried it, not a shit show of fitting as the oil cooler section is alot bigger than my last one.
Would like to remove the oil cooler part but im not sure if its needed...

Or some sort of remote oil cooler setup and remove the cooler as shown.

Hey Folks,
After a few swearwords and alot of buggering around I have got the truck ready to head to the exhaust shop!
I had to change a bunch of things but the main part was the oil filter assembly.. I used the cooler from my origional setup and the oil filter body from the 4jg2 setup. Then I had to make a plate with a seat for the seal. Had to use a lathe for that lid.

The main bolt that holds it all together was too long so this needed the thread extended then the excess length cut off- Used a large die with plenty of cutting fluid!

Next came the issue of the hoses to and from the oil cooler - they would have pointed into the dump pipe so I cut these so that they pointed straight up and flared them out.

The pipe work that runs between the firewall and back of the engine for the oil cooler had a inline thermostat in it.... this got in the way and seemed unnecessary so it has been remove (pictured below the pipes for the oil cooler).

All seems to be running fine so I will book it in for an exhaust this week and then I can start playing with the boost and fuel screw!

The images were taken with a camera that put a rotation instruction into the exif data in the file. So the image is saved in one orientation, then the exif data is included to tell the program viewing the image to rotate it when viewed. The catch is that some programs ignore the rotation instruction, so an image that is one way up when opened in one program is a different way up when opened in another. In this case, the forum overrides how Firefox and Chrome normally handle that information.
The best advise I can give is to pass the image through something that strips the exif data, like this website before uploading. It also strips out other information included in the exif data, like the GPS coordinates of where the image was taken. Though I don't know if that website does anything else with the data in the images you pass through it, so you might want to find another program to strip the exif data.

or to put it another way smartphones as cameras may get unexpected results
I would try taking a series of pics with your iphone then load them as test images on a new thread in the bar to work out which way is really up as far as the iphone is concerned then always take pictures to load here that way up. Thats the easy fix.
The hard fix is a server setting change that Francisco may be able to do but it will affect all forums on that server so may not be an option.
Of course that exif data contains a lot of info you might not want known. The pic I used to test gave me gps coordinates to a nice google earth view of a place about half way between where I live and where I shop.

Probably not wise to publicise the result but if its so maybe trademe should look at their programming to remove it.
