front recovery points
approached arb about bullbar and recovery points. their bar has no foglights for our lsu so going to have to look at another bar and no recovery points for the d-max either. rang tjm and some others and told none available. anyone know who makes them??? thanks
Re: front recovery points
TJM and ARB do not officialy put recovery points on there bars for fear of liability. In saying that the points onthem are quite strong but a little engineering on top wont hurt

Re: front recovery points
have found out that a company, adventure ??? is testing prototypes at the moment but not sure when he will have them ready. they are in wa.
Re: front recovery points
Check the mounting points on the chassis. Likely to find captive 10mm nuts. Spacing will be the same as earlier isuzu hooks. Unfortuanatly these do not meet spec for any club and are not strong enough for real use. No fancy 4wd has proper recovery points these days and Im not sure about the serious ones either.

Re: front recovery points
well still trying to get recovery points and have drawn a dead end with ISuzu.
Thanbks to Anthony for chasing it up.
This is the reply I recieved today.
Hello Bert
I am sorry to announce that Isuzu Ute have no alternate mounting points for your model D-Max
The issue as to if the tow point is acceptable for “Recovery” (snatch strap usage) cannot be confirmed
They do not test for that when designing or building the vehicles, only for towing.
Sorry I could not be more assistance.
Regards.
