Did same thing, new grounds, runs perfect.

Turns out, the relay earths on both glow and afterglow were bad. Gave them a new earth and they work again.

i have replaced the leak down washers on a 2nd set of injectors. will see if that improves the situation.

How do you get the hard return pipe off without breaking it?

Funny, i have the exact same problem. even with the glow plug getting 12v for 30 odd seconds after start. pulled the front off it and checked timing 3 times, plus checking the pump swash plate timing. still farts around for a couple of minutes.

Same ones we raided/pillaged few months ago.

Im getting a/t temp and check trans flash on when going over bumps. Fluid level is ok. plan to do the filter asap. is there anything i should be checking?

Found the real issue. The slotted tensioner had been broken at some point and welded shorter.
