Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Vacuum Switch
Ok, managed to find a second hand VSV, but when I pulled mine out it seemed to be working correctly. The problem is the ECU isn't actually triggering the VSV for the fuel pressure regulator. I wired an indicator LED across the VSV and it never gets turned on. The mystery deepens at this point. I don ...

Fuel Pressure Regulator Vacuum Switch
I'm trying to source the vacuum switch solenoid that controls the vacuum on the fuel pressure regulator. Online I can find the actual pressure regulator and I can find the fast idle solenoid, but I can't for the life of me find the vacuum switch <img alt=";)" src="\images\48422\4fafb08b-c9cd-41c8 ...

Re: Clutch Pedal Spring
Figured it out!!! I did have the spring in correctly (as you see in the photos). Problem was I had still to bleed the lines, so I wasn't getting the push back from the clutch springs. With the lines all bleed it works as expected.

Re: Clutch Pedal Spring
Ok found a pic of my parts showing the spring type that I have. I see there are a few variations. Hopefully the pic shows up below, though I may be doing the image hosting wrong.

If I load the spring ...

Clutch Pedal Spring
Changed out the master clutch cylinder on my TF Rodeo and I can't see how the clutch pedal return spring should be fitted. Of course it sprung out when I removed the pedal box without me seeing how it was placed and now I cant figure out how to re-tension it so it pushes the pedal back.

Any ...

Re: Rough Idle - 2.6L 4ZE1
Well since my last post I have checked the compression, all within 5psi of each other at 160 to 165 psi. So that's not the issue. I have changed the plug leads, and pulled off the distributor cap and rotor to check for tracking or cracks. None found. I have changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator as well ...

Re: Rough Idle - 2.6L 4ZE1
I'm still trying to chase the rough idle down. I haven't done anything extra yet as I've been waiting for bits to arrive and I've been away. However I was wondering if a faulty fuel pressure regulator could cause a rough idle. I have yet to get a fuel pressure test done, which I'm sure would ...

Re: Rough Idle - 2.6L 4ZE1
Thanks Geeves, dont I know it!!! The number of items I have checked over and I've still not found the cause. In addition to no ERG Valve I also don't have an O2 sensor. That I'm very sure of as there is no wiring or fuse in the fuse box for the O2 sensor, let alone no sensor on the exhaust. I also ...

Rough Idle - 2.6L 4ZE1
I have an idle problem with my 2.6l 4ZE1 1995 in that it idles a bit rough. I have checked plugs, valve clearances, timing, vacuum hoses, replaced fuel filter, air filter, cleaned the MAFS, cleaned the Throttle Body and run a can of injector cleaner through (Toyota Stuff, which I am told is the best ...
