Re: 4JB1T cranks but won't start

I would also consider checking the voltage at the cut off switch while cranking the engine, there may not be enough juice left to keep the switch open if the starter is stealing most of it, hence my previous suggestion to try tow starting it.

Re: Modding my 4jb1t for 250hp

Interesting project you have happening, I hope that you keep posting updates!<br/>On the possible crank snapping problem, apparently they usually snap off at the front just behind the harmonic balancer, partly because this is where the torsional vibrations are more concentrated. Add in some excess ...

Re: 94 Bighorn front suspension sag

I think that it's normal to get some suspension sag after a decade or 2. The front of my Jackaroo had sagged by 1.5-2 inches when I bought it, and the rear about an inch. To raise the rear end I purchased a pair of shock absorber overload springs, ( <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://www ...

Re: Cooled EGR

EGR may help with lowering combustion temps, but why pour abrasive carbon into the intake and mostly no, 3 cylinder? Over time, the carbon builds up inside the inlet manifold and port, restricting airflow which causes the cylinder/s to run hot, and the carbon causes accelerated wear in cylinder no,3 ...
