Pic today of the rig by the river. Test drive up the canyon outside of Boulder Colorado after some clutch work. Great drive. Much more power after the intake and exhaust upgrades.

Clutch issue on Mt. Trip
I hadn't had any clutching issue till I just took the 1992 Rodeo on a trip to southern colorado. I climbed to the top of Red Mt. Pass, when I stopped for a minute, I couldn't get it back into gear. Finally after some double clutching I got it in gear and down to SIlverton. I got it back home today ...

essentially you need voltage at the IG terminal for the alternator to charge. The charge relay really only controls the light Is the 1992 the same as a 1998? I see this is a bit newer diagram.

Re: Charge Control Relay not working
Thank you Geeves. This is the info we were lacking. So the relay does not send a charge to the alternator? We traced a wire from the relay (white with a blue stripe) to the alternator. This is not the exciter wire. Basically we have one wire (black white ) with constant power, another (white thicker ...

Charge Control Relay not working
This is continuing from my system not charging. We have traced the issue to (what we believe) is the Charge control relay. Relay has been tested and appear to be working. When tested outside the vehicle it clicks. When back in the vehicle, relay does not click. No power is transferred through the ...

Re: 1992 4JB1T Charging Issue UPDATE 2
After some more internet research, I found some information on the connection from the ignition to the alternator. "idiot light" I've heard of it but never had to diagnose it. I'll post back if this is it. I hope so.

Re: 1992 4JB1T Charging Issue UPDATE
Pulled the alternator this morning and got it tested. Alternator is good. All connections coming out of the alternator test good. So moving on up the ladder. Next the connection and wire feeding the main power distributor. Any thing else I should check?
Cheers,
Patrick
